‖ extispex Rom. Antiq.|ɛkˈstɪspɛks| Pl. exˈtispices. [L.; f. exta (see exta) + -spex f. specĕre to look at.] One whose duty it was to inspect the entrails of sacrificial victims for the purpose of divination; a haruspex.
