ˌextra-ˈsensory, a. Also extrasensory. [f. extra- + sensory a.] Of perception: made by other means than those of the known sense-organs, e.g. by telepathy, clairvoyance, etc.; hence, received by such means; of or pertaining to the study of such perception. (extra-sensory perception is often abbreviated to E.S.P., ESP.)
