extremist, n. (and a.)|ɛkˈstriːmɪst| [f. as prec. + -ist.] One who is disposed to go to the extreme, or who holds extreme opinions; a member of a party advocating extreme measures. Also attrib. or as adj. Hence exˈtremism, the views or actions of extremists; extreˈmistic a., of or pertaining to extremists or extremism.
