Fabry-Pérot Physics.|fabripero| The names of C. Fabry (1867–1945) and A. Pérot (1863–1925), French physicists, used attrib. or jointly to designate the étalon invented by them (see étalon), and also an interferometer designed on the same principle but having one of the glass plates mounted so that its distance from the fixed plate may be varied.
