1. The action or process of facilitating or rendering easy; an instance of this.

3. Physiol. The increased excitability of a post-ganglionic neuron, resulting in an increased response to a physical stimulus, that is produced by conditioning of the ganglion by impluses due to other (similar or different) stimuli.
