tigrine, a.|ˈtaɪgraɪn| (Also tigerine.) [ad. L. tigrīn-us (Pliny) marked like a tiger: see -ine1.] Of, pertaining to, or resembling a tiger, esp. in marking or colouring; in specific names of animals translating L. tigrīnus.
