togavirus Med.|ˈtəʊgəvaɪərəs| [f. L. toga toga + virus.] Any of a group of RNA animal viruses with enveloped icosahedral capsids, many of which are arthropod-borne and including the viruses of rubella, yellow fever, dengue, and several forms of encephalitis.
