ˈfitters, n. pl. Obs. exc. dial. See also flitters. [f. fitter v.] Fragments, pieces, atoms. In various obvious phrases, as to tear to fitters, to break in(to fitters, etc. to be in fitters: fig. to be broken up into small parties.
