‖ tormina, n. pl. Path.|ˈtɔːmɪnə| [L. tormina gripes, griping of the bowels, pl. of *tormen, for *torqmen, f. torquēre to twist.] Acute griping or wringing pains in the bowels; gripes. Also fig.
