after-chrome, a.|ˈɑːftəkrəʊm, æ-| [f. after- 9 + chrome.] Of, pertaining to, or designating a process of textile dyeing in which the material, after being dyed or printed, is treated with a chromium compound. Also as v.; so after-chroming vbl. n.
