transepted, a. Archæol.|ˈtrɑːnsɛptɪd, ˈtræn-| [f. transept + -ed2.] Having chambers resembling transepts; spec. designating a type of gallery grave (see quot. 1956).
1939G. E. Daniel in Proc. Prehist. Soc. V. 143 The present writer defined a type of megalithic burial chamber which was there called the transepted gallery grave. 1956R. J. C.
