translocate, v.|ˈtrɑːnsləʊkeɪt, træns-| [f. trans- + locate. Probably suggested by next, which was used much earlier.] 1. a. trans. To remove from one place to another; to displace, dislocate. Esp. in reference to the transfer of wild animals.
