† forˈworth, v. Obs. [OE. forweorðan str. vb., f. for- prefix1 + weorðan to become (see worth v.); cf. OHG. farwerdan. In early northern ME. occasionally conjugated weak.] 1. intr. To perish, come to nought, go wrong.
