Francoist, n. and a.|ˈfrænkəʊɪst|
[f. the name of Francisco Franco y Bahamonde (1892–1975) (see below) + -ist.]
A. n. One who supported General Francisco Franco, a leader of the Nationalist revolution in Spain in 1936 and dictator of Spain until his death (see caudillo); one who is sympathetic to Franco's views.
B. adj. Of, pertaining to, or supporting the regime of General Franco, his principles, or policies.
