procephalic, a.|prəʊsɪˈfælɪk| [f. Gr. πρό, pro-2 + κεϕαλή head + -ic. In sense 2, f. Gr. προκέϕαλος ‘long-headed’, also in Prosody.] 1. Zool. Belonging to the fore part of the head; applied to certain lobes or processes in Crustacea and other Arthropoda: see quots.
