Infection with trichomonads, which in humans is often symptomless; esp. (a) a venereal disease of women caused by Trichomonas vaginalis, in which there are vaginal irritation and a discharge; (b) a venereal disease of cattle caused by T. fœtus, characterized by abortion, pyometra, and sometimes sterility.
