Reckitt|ˈrɛkɪt| Also erron. Reckett. [See quot. 1877.] Used in the possessive as the proprietary name of a blue (blue n. 2 c) for laundry use; also as the name of the colour of this substance, a clear cobalt blue, esp. transf. Hence Reckitt's bluebag, the bag in which this product is marketed.
