‖ futah|ˈfuːta| Also footah, fotah, futu. [ad. Arab. fūṭa cloth used as a waist-wrapper.] A kind of material orig. imported to Arab countries from India; hence, an article or garment made from this material, spec. a kind of loin-cloth or short skirt worn by Arabs.
