G. tropan, f. tropeïn tropeine: see -ane 2 b.] A saturated bicyclic tertiary amine which is a basic liquid obtained from various plants and the parent of a series of compounds which includes atropine, cocaine, and related alkaloids; 8-methyl-8-azabicyclo-[3.2.1]octane, C8H15N.
