It. galanti, pl. of galante: see gallant.] Where the word is really colloquially current the stress seems to be always gaˈlanty, though our first quot. has ˈgallantee, which appears in some recent Dicts. A shadow pantomime produced by throwing shadows of miniature figures on a wall or screen.
