gehlenite Min.|ˈgeɪlənaɪt| [f. name of A. F. Gehlen (1775–1815) + -ite; named by Fuchs in 1815.] A silicate of aluminium, calcium and iron, of a greyish colour, chiefly found in the Tyrol.
