glaucophane Min.|ˈglɔːkəfeɪn| [Named by Haussmann 1845 (in Ger. form glaukophan); f. Gr. γλαυκό-ς (see glaucous) + -ϕανής shining, f. root of ϕαίνειν to show.] A mineral closely resembling Amphibole.
