A term formerly in use in the University of Cambridge, apparently denoting a pupil of a grammar-school.

App. p. xxxv, The master of glomery..would continue..the exercise of the same jurisdiction over his scholars or glomerells which he had possessed and exercised before the appearance of a new and more highly privileged body. 1873Mullinger Univ. Camb. I. 226 The Glomerels..constituted a body distinct from the Scholars of the University. [1895Rashdall Univ.
