grammatolatry|græməˈtɒlətrɪ| [f. Gr. γραµµατο-, combining form of γράµµα letter + λατρεία worship: see -latry.] The worship of letters; adherence to the letter (of Scripture). So grammaˈtolator [cf. idolator], a stickler for the forms of words.
