guango|ˈgwæŋgəʊ| [a. Amer. Sp. guango, prob. from Quechua.] The Jamaican name for an ornamental tree, Samanea saman, of the family Leguminosæ, the pods of which are used as cattle fodder; also called rain-tree (s.v. rain n.1) and saman.
