gymnospermous, a. Bot.|dʒɪmnəˈspɜːməs| [f. mod.L. gymnosperm-us (see prec.) + -ous.] Naked-seeded; applied to those plants, e.g. conifers, in which the seeds are not provided with a seed-vessel; belonging to the class Gymnospermæ.
