gyrovague Hist. rare.|ˈdʒaɪərəveɪg| [a. F. gyrovague, ad. med.L. gȳrovagus, f. L. gȳrus circuit (see gyre n.) + -vagus wandering.] One of those monks who were in the habit of wandering from monastery to monastery.
