A magnesium-containing variety of hydromuscovite.

Rock-forming Minerals III. 15 A fibrous magnesium-bearing hydromuscovite called gümbelite was investigated by Aruja (1944). Its formula is approximately (K, H2O)2(Al3Mg)Si6Al2O18(OH)6 and it crystallizes in the ZM1 polymorph. |
