harmoniphon, -phone|hɑːˈmɒnɪfən, -fəʊn| [mod. f. Gr. ἁρµονία harmony + -ϕωνος -sounding. Cf. F. harmoniphon (Littré).] A musical instrument consisting of a tube like that of a clarinet, inclosing a set of free reeds governed by a keyboard like that of a harmonium. Also applied to a musical box with a combination of reeds and pipes.
