ˈaligreek rare—1. [A corrupt form of It. alla Greca, or of Fr. transl. à la Grecque; the moulding is in Fr. called simply Grecque.] A meander, fret, or ‘key’ pattern; ‘Greek fret’ or ‘Greek border.’
