haulier|ˈhɔːlɪə(r)| [f. haul v. + -ier, cf. collier, sawyer and hallier1.] 1. A man employed in hauling or pulling something; spec. a workman in a coal mine who pulls or drives the tubs which convey the coal from the working to the bottom of the shaft.
