alkalimetry|ælkəˈlɪmɪtrɪ| [mod. f. alkali + Gr. -µετρία measuring. Cf. mod.Fr. alcalimétrie.] The measurement of the strength of alkalis; the ascertainment of the amount of free alkali contained in any solution or compound.
