‖ Herbivora, n. pl. Zool.|həˈbɪvərə| [neut. pl. (sc. animalia) of L. herbivorus herb-eating.] A general name for animals, esp. mammals, that feed on herbage or plants. spec. The name of a division of Marsupials, including the kangaroos; and of a division of Cetacea.
