allegiant, a. (and n.)|əˈliːdʒ(ɪ)ənt| [f. allegiance, on analogy of adjs. in -ant accompanying ns. in -ance.] Giving allegiance, loyal. Also as n., one who owes or renders allegiance; a subject.
