Allerød|ˈalərød| Also Alleröd. The name of the type site near Copenhagen, Denmark, used attrib. and absol. to designate a Late Glacial interstadial in Europe between the Older and the Younger Dryas, c 9500 bc, marked by the spread of birch, willow, and pine.
