1827Sporting Mag. XX. 104 Mr. Treby's Harriers..unhovered an otter. ‘Heu gase! heu gase!’ was vociferated from the lungs of many a tough one. 1828Ibid. XXI. 306 The heugase, heugase (the view screech of the otter-hunter) is heard poured forth with joyful yell. [Heu gase!
