hexakis- Gr. ἑξάκις six times, forming an initial element in some crystallographical terms. ˌhexakisoctaˈhedron, a solid figure contained by forty-eight scalene triangles. ˌhexakistetraˈhedron, a solid figure contained by twenty-four scalene triangles, being the hemihedral form of the hexakisoctahedron.
