reducent, a. (and n.)|rɪˈdjuːsənt| [ad. L. redūcent-em, pr. pple. of redūcĕre to reduce.] A. adj. 1. Bot. and Zool. Of a vein, channel, etc.: That carries something back from a certain part. (Opp. to adducent; cf. abducent.)
