Tremor of the iris; esp. a rhythmic contraction and dilatation of the pupil independent of the light intensity; also, a complaint of the eyes, such that they are always winking.

Eye 177 Oscillation of the iris is applied to the alternate contraction and expansion (hippus iridis), as well as to the trembling of the iris. 1904L. W. Fox Dis.
