▪ I. ‖ reem|riːm| [a. Heb. r⊇'ēm (also rēym in Job xxxix. 9–10), rendered in the Vulgate by rhinoceros and unicornis, and by Wyclif and later Eng. versions, unicorn.] The Hebrew name of an animal mentioned in the Old Testament, now identified with the wild ox.
