ˈhogweed Herb. A name given to various herbs of which hogs are fond, or which are thought fit only for hogs. 1. In England: cow-parsnip, Heracleum Sphondylium; knotgrass, Polygonum aviculare; sowthistle, Sonchus; coltsfoot, Tussilago Farfara; hedge parsley, Torilis Anthriscus.
