The name of a town in Devonshire used attrib. to designate a type of pillow lace which is made there, consisting of floral sprigs either hand-sewn on to fine net, or joined by bars of other lace-work, as Honiton guipure, Honiton lace, Honiton sprig. Also absol. = Honiton lace.
