huttonite Min.|ˈhʌtənaɪt| [f. the name of Colin Osborne Hutton (b. 1910), the American mineralogist born in New Zealand + -ite1.] A silicate of thorium, ThSiO4, that occurs as colourless or very pale cream monoclinic crystals.
