hydrastinine Chem.|haɪˈdræstɪniːn| [ad. G. hydrastinin (Freund & Will 1887, in Ber. d. Deut. Chem. Ges. XX. 88), f. hydrastine + -ine5.] A synthetic alkaloid, C11H13NO3, derived from hydrastine and sometimes employed in the form of the hydrochloride to control uterine bleeding.
