hydromel|ˈhaɪdrəʊmɛl| Also 5 ydromel(le, 6 hydromell, 7 hidromel. [a. L. hydromel, ad. Gr. ὑδρόµελι, f. ὑδρο- water + µέλι honey. With the earliest forms cf. OF. ydromelle.] A liquor consisting of a mixture of honey and water, which when fermented is called vinous hydromel or mead.
