Monies 3 The Re-Exchange is the like Sum of Money, payable by the Drawer of a Bill which is return'd protested; for the Exchange of the Sum, contain'd in the Bill, back again to the place whence it was drawn. 1727–41Chambers Cycl. s.v., The occasion of re-exchange is, when the bearer of a bill of exchange, after protesting it..draws a bill of exchange in the place where the payment was to be made, on the person who furnished the first. 1809R.
