uroporphyrinogen Biochem.|ˌjʊərəʊpɔːfɪˈrɪnədʒən| [a. G. uroporphyrinogen (Fischer & Zerweck 1924, in Zeitschr. f. physiol. Chem. CXXXVIII. 242): see prec. and -ogen.] Any porphyrinogen in which the pyrrole rings have side chains as in a uroporphyrin.
