hyperˈurbanism [f. hyper- 5 + urbanism.] Extreme urbanism; spec. in Philol., the manner of speech arising from an effort to avoid provincialism; a hypercorrect form of speech or phrase resulting from this. So hyperˈurban a., exhibiting hyperurbanism; hyperˌurbaniˈzation n.
