hyponitrous, a. Chem.|hɪpəʊ-, haɪpəʊˈnaɪtrəs| [f. hypo- 5 + nitrous. Cf. F. hyponitreux.] In hyponitrous acid, an unstable acid, (HNO)2, obtained in combination as a potassium salt.
