hypsometry|hɪpˈsɒmɪtrɪ| [f. hypsometer: see -metry. Cf. F. hypsométrie.] The measuring of altitudes; the science which treats of this; also, the subject of this science, the condition of a part of the earth's surface in reference to height above (or depth below) the level of the sea.
